Exotic Wood Revolver Grips
We are extremely proud to be the only custom pistolsmithing operation able to offer our customers beautiful hand-machined, hand crafted, and hand finished revolver grips in rare and exotic, tropical and domestic hardwood. Demand has exceeded our ability to produce sufficient numbers for retail sales. That said, please understand that we will only be able supply grips to customers that have submitted their firearm for customization.
From raw dimensional lumber to beautiful finished product, our grips are proudly made in our shop in Kentucky, in the USA, with our equipment, and our hands. They are finished in the “Old Traditional” method of sanding and polishing the wood. A final hand application of fine wax is all that is used to help preserve the beautiful figure and grain variations. We DO NOT use sticky, gooey, plastic coatings and finishes or fillers. You will never find some cheap tinted varnish applied to our grips to make it look better than it is.
We are offering our grips for the very popular Ruger® double action revolvers (Ruger SP101® , Ruger GP100® , Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan® ) and S&W® round butt double action revolvers (J, K, L and N). We make them in both a full length and boot grip style, for easy concealment. The fit of the grip to the frame of the weapon is superb, with tolerances held to within 0.001”. This is controlled by a skilled technician that carefully machines them to shape using conventional machine tool technology methods. NO CNC machining is used during the creation of our grips.
The ergonomics are outstanding and enhance weapon retention and controllability as well as comfort. All grips are test fitted to a new gun frame to ensure proper fit.
Prices will vary on these grips as we grade them individually. You simply never know just how beautiful or highly figured the grip will be until it is finished. Prices for XX grade Cocobolo as shown will average $300.00. Higher grade and other species of woods are available, and are priced accordingly.
The most “over the top revolvers” deserve the best grips available, so we ONLY offer custom fitting and wood selection for our in-shop customer projects. If you are tired of the ordinary, or maybe even sick of substandard, you have come to the right place.
You will love these grips!
